His research focuses on health economic evaluation, quality and patient safety analysis, and the organization of care and services. He is currently leading a research program on the economic analysis of nosocomial infection prevention and control (IPC) in Québec. This program has been funded by the Réseau de recherche en interventions en sciences infirmières (RRISIQ), the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS), the Ministère de la santé et des services sociaux du Québec (MSSS), the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), and the Canada Research Chairs Program.

Eric Tchouaket is a statistician and health economist. He holds a PhD in public health from the Université de Montréal, a Master II in health economics from Université Paris Dauphine, and a Diploma in statistics from the Institut Sous-régional de statistique et d'économie appliquée (ISSEA) in Yaoundé in Cameroon.
